Description:
Titanium 6-2-4-6 (also known as TI-6Al-2Sn-4Zr-6Mo) is an Alpha-Beta alloy offering very high mechanical strength with good retention up to 450°C. This alloy is heat treatable and deep hardenable. It is used in a wide variety of industrial applications including the production of gas turbines and oil & gas production equipment. The alloy is fully heat-treatable in section sizes up to one inch and is used up to approximately 400°C (750°F). This Alpha-Beta Alloy combines good corrosion resistance and strength with weldability and fabricability. It is generally available in bar form and it’s typically used in deep sour well applications. This alloy can be hot or cold formed.
